Joy Hawkridge joined Whetstone
almost 8 years ago, being a very young and
enthusiastic 22 year old she wanted to see
the salons reputation grow and after 6 months
Joy became the General Manager of Whetstone.
Having already struck up a close relationship
with Aveda it came as no surprise when Joy
introduced Avedas naturally derived damage
free Colour System into the salon.
After a lot of hard work and training Whetstone
became Irelands first Aveda Concept Salon specializing exclusively in Aveda products
for all hair colour / styling and make up
services.

Joy rose to the opportuinity,
bought the Company and started a training
ground for all her staff to follow suit.
Now almost 4 years later and building on the
continued success of Whetstone, Joy has been
able to open her second salon which is
Irelands first Aveda Lifestyle Salon on South Anne Street Dublin 2 which not only
offers Aveda Hair and Make Up but the complete
range of Aveda beauty treatments including
facials, waxing, massage therapy etc. all
of which are exclusive to Aveda at Whetstone.
With a highly trained and motivated team Whetstone
as a growing company strives to give all their
clientele the Aveda Experience worth coming
